A Grey Lodge favorite, Breckenridge Autumn Ale, replaced another Grey Lodge favorite, Flying Fish Oktoberfish.
Boaks Abbey Brown was a big hit, which didn't surprise me at all. It kicked rather fast. Replacing it is Elysian The Wise ESB, which is back at the G-Lodge after a 3 or 4 year absence.
Founders Harvest Ale replaced Sierra Nevada Harvest Ale. The draft card for Founders Harvest has this disclaimer: This one is pricey. For the last year, we have been absorbing a lot of the price increases for beer. We even actually lowered the price on some beers, in line with our now lower gross margins. For example, we are charging 10% less for Victory Harvest Pils and Ale than last year. If we charge $7 a pint for a beer, it’s because it cost us a lot. The sales taxes to get it in the door are also more per ounce on pricey beers, as well as the 10% school tax that is embedded in the price. So, this one's pricey at $7 a pint. Hopefully it's worth it; we shall see.
