Draft Changes
Lots of draft turnover since early Saturday afternoon.
Founders Backwoods Bastard replaced Troegs Mad Elf. One of the nice things about the beer business in Philadelphia is what Ray Norda called coop-etition. Heather of the Institute told me Backwoods Bastard is amazing. I can't wait to have a glass.
Philadelphia Rowhouse Red replaced Philadelphia Kenzinger.
Harpoon Rauchfetzen replaced One Guy Peach Wheat. Rauchfetzen is a German style smoked ale. Mmm sounds great; I can't wait. Yards Brawler is due up after Harpoon.
Dogfish Head Chicory Stout replaced Sierra Nevada Torpedo. Chicory Stout was one of DFH's original beers. It's still around, but now as a seasonal. I still recall Drew Debaecke and I examining a Chicory Stout label in the early days of Dogfish and The Grey Lodge. Such a long time ago now. The Lodge has changed greatly while not changing all that much.
Expand Your Xmas Card List
Two-tour Iraqi vet Ryan Bowman (who is home now for good) sent us this: When doing your Christmas cards this year, take one card and send it to this address. If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these wonderful special people who have sacrificed so much would get.
When you are making out your Christmas card list this year, please include the following:
A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue,NW
Washington,D.C. 20307-5001
Tweeting on Twitter
I have finally got around to tweeting on the GreyLodge twitter account. Follow us if you'd like. The Grey Lodge won't follow you, unless people think that would be useful.
