Tapped: Troegs Mad Elf, Bear Republic Red Rocket, Allagash Grand Cru (sixtel) + Thanksgiving Parade

Draft News
As promised we have a special sneak preview of 2008 Troegs Mad Elf draft. The bottles came out November 1st, but the first draft isn't supposed to be released until December 1st. Well... we know someone, and we've got a barrel. Don't tell the Troegs boys! No wait, you can tell them, since they were the people we know. It replaced Sierra Nevada Chico IPA. Our big official Mad Elf Night will be Friday, 05 December, from 6pm to 9pm. We'll have 2008 and 2007 Mad Elf on tap side by side.

The draft line with Whirlwind Wit will be dry all weekend. It's busted and won't be fixed til Monday. But it's OK. We have 9 other beers on tap and one on the beer engine (choo choo!).

Update: Bear Republic Red Rocket replaced Stone IPA.

2nd Update: A sixtel of Allagash Grand Cru replaced Elysian Bifrost. We hear Allagash Grand Cru is really amazing. It's also really rare, which why we relaxed our no sixtel policy to bring it in. "Sixtels are for babies!"

I'm sure Sierra Nevada Torpedo will kick tonight, but there won't be a 3rd draft update tonight. It's time for me to have a beer.

Thanksgiving Parade
The Mayfair Business Association now has a blog. One of the posts is about the Mayfair-Holmesburg Thanksgiving Parade is this Sunday. Bundle up!

Today's Link Embedding: Sarah Palin gives an interview while turkeys are slaughtered in the background. It's surreal. I don't have a problem with it (if you want turkey for Thanksgiving, someone has to slaughter it), but it is surreal. Someone purposely framed it like that. That's not fair. Poor Sarah. She still sounds like a half-wit.
