Last night's Mad Elf Night was as popular as previous years. Thanks very much to everyone who came out. We kicked one half of 2008 Troegs Mad Elf and tapped another. We have another one after that, and some more arriving next week.We tapped and kicked both sixtels of 2007 Mad Elf.
Boulder Planet Porter replaced High and Mighty Two Headed Beast.
Founders Centennial IPA replaced Great Divide Titan IPA.
Probably Too Late
Christmas is busting out all over the Northeast today. I had hoped to post this yesterday but work kept coming up.
- The Mayfair Business Association will be trimming a tree at Cottman and Frankford from 2pm to about 4. (I'll be running up after I post this). We invite everyone to help us decorate it by bringing ornaments to put on the tree. The festivities will start at 2:00pm and include: a visit from Santa, music, and give-aways from local businesses. Help us help the less fortunate by bringing a canned good or two for Philabundance.
- Tacony is having its annual Winterfest this afternoon at the Tacony Library today, 6742 Torresdale Ave. Santa will be there too. Meet Santa and join the festivities at a special tree lighting. Free historical tours of Tacony will be available. Sponsored by Tacony Business Association. 12:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.
- The Ryerss House Museum is having a Victorian Tea today from 10am to 3pm. The house is decorated and open to the public. Come celebrate a Ryerss tradition and enjoy the mansion decked-out for the holidays. Victorian tea room, greens sale, Fox Chase Elementary School Choir will perform at 11 am. Home-made baked goods, Wassail bowl, second-time around table, and much more. If you miss the house today, you can still check it out before Xmas.
