Draft Beer News
I updated the Beer Page three times today, but am only just now getting around to updating the News Page.
Gritty McDuff 21 IPA replaced the 1/4 barrel of Bells Two Hearted Ale, which as expected didn't last a day. Why they'd even bother to put Two Hearted in a quater barrel, I'll never know (that's only like 1 hearts worth). We ordered a regular 1/2 barrel, but a 1/4 is what we got. Sometimes you take what you can get.
A few days late, Abita Mardi Gras Bock replaced Left Hand Milk Stout. Party!
Our Beer Season Beer of the Week, Allagash White, replaced itself.

The Philly Beer Week Hammer of Glory is finished and ready to tap kegs and smash stuff. I witnessed it smash something this afternoon. To paraphrase the great Woody Guthrie, this hammer's bound for glory.
John Denver Pat
If you haven't noticed Pat McHugh, aka John Denver Pat, around lately, it's because he has been in the hospital. He's doing OK and should be out next week. If you'd like to do a Corporal Work of Mercy, he is in room 392-D at Nazareth Hospital. Or you could call, his number is 215-335-7909. I'm pretty sure a phone still counts as Visiting the Sick. It might even cancel out eating meat on Friday during Lent.
