Merry Christmas! We hope you have a great and safe holiday. If you would like to spend some of your holiday with us, we are open regular Thursday hours today, which means our 1st and 2nd floors are open til 2am. Our kitchen is open til midnight. Tomorrow, Christmas Day, our 1st floor will open at 7pm. The 2nd floor and kitchen will be closed. On Saturday, everything is back to normal (or for what passes for normality around here).

Draft Beer News
2009 Anchor Our Special Ale kicked. Replacing it is Clipper City Heavy Seas Yule Tide. This one is high octane, so small pours only.

Lost Abbey Gift of the Magi is now a memory. Replacing it is the ever-popular Troegs Mad Elf. We have another half of Mad Elf under it, so we should have plenty of Elf for the weekend.

Thomas Hooker Nor'Easter, our Beer Season beer of the week, replaced itself.

4pm Update: We had a nice jolly crowd this afternoon and a couple of kegs kicked since I posted an hour and quarter ago. 2007 Anchor Our Special Ale kicked, leaving only the 2008 Anchor Our Special Ale on tap, and the 2008 shouldn't make it through the night. Replacing it is Victory Yakima Twilight.

Flying Fish Grand Cru kicked speedily. Replacing that is Weissenohe Monks Christmas, which is a rather unGoogable one from Germany. We have the Weissenohe Christmas on last Christmas and it was quite tasty. This will be the first beer I have tonight.

4:45pm Update: The super-popular Sly Fox Christmas Ale kicked and was replaced with another SFX (which is our last SFX for 2009).

Today's Embedded Video
Bob and Doug McKenzie's 12 Days of Christmas. For those too young to remember SCTV, Bob and Doug are Canadian.
