Draft Beer News
Erie Smokebender, which we think is a smoked beer - their Website doesn't mention Smokebender at all, replaced Victory Scarlet Fire, which we know is/was a smoked beer.
Dock Street Amarillo Pale Ale, this week's Beer Season beer of the week, replaced itself.
Point St. Benedict's Winter Ale replaced Lancaster Amish Four Grain. The official description talks more about St. Benedict and a raven rather than about the beer. Who knows, maybe this one will be surprise us with greatness. Don't laugh, it has happened before where beers with low expectations turned out to be quite wonderful.
6pm Update: Great Divide St. Brigid's Porter replaced Sprecher Winter. It seems this will be the first and last time we tap this one. I remember 13 years ago Great Divide St. Brigids Porter was one of the exotic sounding options on the E. I. Friedland beer list. Somehow in all those years we never wound up ordering any to my recollection. We've tapped a lot of Great Divide beers, but never the St. Brigid's. Great Divide is taking St. Brigid's out of their line-up to free up room for more seasonal beers, making this one our first and last. I'm damn sure having one tonight.
