Draft Beer News
A bunch of things changed over while I was out of town for a couple of nights.

Off are: Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale, Harpoon Winter Warmer, Yards Poor Richard's Tavern Spruce, Stoudts Winter Ale, Philadelphia Winter Wunder, Stoudts Imperial Pum King, Clipper City Heavy Seas Yule Tide, Woodchuck Granny Smith Cider.

Tapped are: Sprecher Winter, which is a Munich style dunkel bock. I know what a dunkel and a bock are, I'm not really too sure what a dunkel bock is. But who cares, this sounds like my kind of beer.

Sly Fox Saison Brune is a dark saison. Saisons can be incredibly complex and wonderful beers. I look forward to trying this one.

Dock Street Amarillo Pale Ale is a single hopped pale ale. It will be next week's Beer Season beer of the week.

Harpoon Winter Warmer, the current Beer Season beer of the week, replaced itself.

Boulder Never Summer Ale, a spiced beer, is a popular winter seasonal here at the G-Lodge. Like everything from Boulder, it's a winner.

Lancaster Amish Four Grain, as the name implies, uses four different malts, sort of like multi-grain bread. This is one of Lancaster's original beers, and it's still around. Which is a testament to what a fine and original beer this is.

I tried the Shipyard Prelude Thursday night and hated it. A few others tasted it too and weren't pleased either. Maybe because it was at the end of a little session for all of us. There is nothing in its description (English style strong ale) that would put me off, so maybe this one is better with a fresh pallet. People tried it over the weekend and liked it, or at least didn't verbally dislike it. I'll have to give it another try.

Woodchuck Pear Cider is now our current draft cider.
