Draft Beer Update
Troegs Nugget Nectar replaced Harpoon Island Creek Oyster Stout. Nugget Nectar is Troegs' well reknowned double IPA.
Flying Fish Abbey Dubbel replaced Great Divide Claymore Scotch Ale. Although we got blanked on Exit 16, we are still showing Flying Fish the love by tapping their Abbey Dubbel. This is a long time favorite here, why? Because it's a great abbey style dubbel.
Friday Night: Monster Max
Tomorrow night, we will be tapping a sixtel (or two) of Brooklyn Monster Barley Wine. This is the latest vintage.
Max (John Maxwell), who is a cellaring enthusiast, has 11 bottles of 2005 Brooklyn Monster to share. Max has decided to donate them to benefit the Mayfair Memorial Playground. We have a limited number of small pours by the glass, and will raffle off a few bottles. All proceeds from the 2005 Monster will go to the Mayfair Memorial Playground rebuilding project.
This will be a nice way to see how this Monster of a beer changes over the years.
