Back Streets
Woo oooh on back streets, woo oooh back on back streets. Wah ah woo yoo aaahhhh. A little old school Springsteen comes to mind because we'll need everyone to park on the backstreets for a little bit. They are ripping up Frankford Ave in front of the Lodge for 2 months for streetscape improvement. I hope we're getting cool street lights.
But no worries, there's usually loads of parking on Devereaux and Hawthorne Streets. Devereax comes in at Artur Realty and Hawthorne is the street that cuts behind the Medical Building acoross the street from us.
Parking Update: There is still parking on the other side of Frankford Ave. We'll updating the parking situation here on the news page daily.
Draft Beer Update
Stone 14th Anniversary is done. Replacing it is Dock Street Apple Brandy Barrel aged Bubbly Wit (sixtel). This is a RARE one. I think this is only one that made it out of the brewpub and the brewpub I don't think has any left.
The name is pretty self-explanatory, but we are full service so we'll explain it anyway. This Dock Street's Belgian style wit (the wit part of the name) that is fermented with champagne yeast (the bubbly part of the name). This beer was then aged (the aged part of the name) in an Apple Brandy barrel at Dock Street's brewpub (the Apple Brandy Barrel part of the name) . The aging barrel at Dock Street is wonderfully boring. It's a lone wood barrel sitting amongst some clutter in a storage area. In this unremakable setting, magical things are slowly happening. I can't wait to try this.
