Draft Beer Update
Our run of smoked beers continues with Great Divide Smoked Baltic Porter replacing Victory Scarlet Sunset Dunkelweizen. Smoked porters are a great beer style and Great Divide is a great brewery. I can't wait to try theirs. And we have yet one more smoked beer up our sleeves (which can be a bit uncomfortable) before this current bounty of smoked beers peters out.
Lost Abbey Avant Garde replaced Weyerbacher Mike. Avant Garde is a saison or French farmhouse style beer. There seems to be a lot of latitude in what makes a beer a saison. It will be interesting to see what this well respected California brewery's take on saison is.
Our run of black beers continues with Bavarian Barbarian Steel Driving Stout replacing Dogfish Head Chicory Stout. Bavarian Barbarian is somewhat new brewery out of Williamsport PA.
Our run of wet-hopped harvest beers continues with Victory Harvest Ale replacing Victory Harvest Pilsner. This will be our last harvest ale of 2010, unless some pop up later looking for a home.
