It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Grey Lodge. We tapped the 1st of FIVE kegs of Sly Fox Christmas Ale. Sly Fox Christmas Ale is long time favorite here at the Grey Lodge, which is why we have five kegs which should take us right up Christmas Night, maybe even to New Years Eve.
We also tapped Abita Christmas Ale, which comes from down New Orleans way. Abita's brewery is in Abita Springs is across the long straight causeway over Lake Pontchartrain. When you find yourself in NOLA, Abita is worth the drive.
And tonight IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE! We just tapped Samuel Adams Old Fezziwig Ale. Sam Adams has been including Old Fezziwig in their Christmas variety back since the late 90s. Fezziwig is a beer that never ever showed up on draft. In fact, for many years buying a whole sampler case was the only way to get any. Well this year... IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE! We scored a full half-barrel of Old Fezzywig. Unheard of!

6:40 Update: This week's Beer Season Beer of the Week, Yards ESA, replaced itself. Speaking of Beer Season, John Ahrens sent us this link to a new song, BEER SEASON by Kevin Fowler. Unlike Kevin's Beer Season that never ends, our Beer Season only lasts 13 weeks.
