Draft Beer NewsBoth quarter barrels of Twin Lakes Winterthur Spring Wheat kicked. Replacing it is Philadelphia Walt Wit. I don't know why they went with a picture of lawn gnome for the Walt Wit label, but the years have shown us if there is a gnome on the label, it's great beer.
I made a copy/paste mistake on the last update. Victory Braumeister Pils Tettnanger was tapped. Victory Yakima Glory is still on deck. That must mean we buy too much Victory (Just kidding Pete). There is no such thing as too much Victory beer.
Mad Scientist Tapping Tomorrow Evening
Cue: "Braaa haa haaa" and other evil genius giddiness noises.
Sixpoint has a new Mad Scientist series were they make experimental beers mad scientist style. They even hired a new guy named Igor to help out with that. These beers are very limited. The Grey Lodge, being the first bar in Philly to serve Sixpoint, made the cut.
Looks like this beer is a lager. Berserker Bock, 6.3% abv, is infused with cold pressed coffee from their friends at Stumptown Coffee Roasters.
The first one in the series, a spelt wine, was really cutting edge and most importantly really tasted great, so we are anxiously awaiting the Berserker Bock. And if you want to sing "My love for you is like a truck, Berserker" nobody will probably stop you. Nobody will probably be sitting near you, but they won't stop you. 7pm tapping.
