Friday the 15th will be a double header of amazing beer at The Grey Lodge.
We start off at 5pm with a keg of Stoudts American Pale Ale that has been doused with fresh Lancaster Country peaches. Brewer Jodi Stoudt, who will be dressed up for occasion, will be wielding the Mallet of Glory at 5pm. Peach and hops should go together swimmingly. This is a beer I'm really looking forward to.
At 6pm, it's time for Dogfish Head 10 taps of Fun. We will have some amazing and rare DFH beers, plus 2 less rare but no less great ones. Wendy will have stuff. And Sam mailed us some cool keychains for the occasion.
Draft Beer Update
Deschutes Mirror Pond Pale Ale kicked, ending our run of four Deschutes in a row.
Starting next week we will run six Duck Rabbit beers in a row. Duck Rabbit Milk Stout is one my all time favorite beers. I feel we never really got get the full impact of Duck Rabbit's beers here at the Grey Lodge. We've had them all on tap, but usually too spread out to really experience them at a whole. Philly is getting a surge of Duck Rabbit beers over the next few weeks, so now's the time. Well next week's the time.
Abita Satsuma Harvest Wit kicked too. I quite liked this one; the orangy citrus went very nice with the wit style beer.
Replacing the Abita is Dogfish Head Festina Peche. The first of the 10 Dogfish Head beers to be tapped.
The line that held Deschutes will be left vacant until tomorrow when Dogfish Head Red and White will be tapped.
Long Trail Hibernator is really tasty, quite a pleasant surprise. If you haven't had it, I recommend it.
