The Hooligans at Disston Rec Postponed

If you were planning to see The Hooligans at Disston Rec tonight, you'll have to wait another week. The concert has been postponed due to threat of rain. The rain won't stop us though so stop on by.

Draft Beer Update
Yowsa, skip a day and 4 beers kick!

Kicked: Bear Republic Racer 5, Manayunk Hefeweizen, Peak Weisse Principal, and Troegs Sunshine Pils.

Tapped:
Leinenkugels Red - this one's a lager.

Manayunk Dunkelweizen - the Manayunk Hefe kicked before I even got to have any (the Dock Street Saison Brun had a lock on me). Replacing it is their darker weizen. Dunkelwiezens are surprisingly rare beers. I will make sure I get some of this one.

Samuel Adams East-West Kolsch - this is Sam's other summer seasonal. The first one we had on tap kicked pretty quickly. Kolsch is a perfect style for hot weather and we have another heat wave coming up. Sometimes timing works in our favor.

River Horse Hopalotamus - somebody asked us to get this one in. Sadly I don't remember who. Hopefully he or she will make it in before it kicks.

This Weekend's Food Specials

- Apple Walnut Salad - tomato, cucumber, apples, walnuts, cranberry vinaigrette $8

- Shrimp wrapped with prosciutto with mango chutney glaze $9

- Stuffed Italian Burger - 1/2 pound Angus beef burger stuffed with pepperoni, genoa salami, and mozzarella. Topped with marinara and parmigiana. Side of fries. $12

- Crabcake Sandwich - fresh caught Vietnamese crab, sides of fries. $12

- Strawberry and blueberry bread budding ala mode $4

This Weekend's Brunch Menu

Northeast Philly has a real dearth of interesting breakfast food. Since nobody else is stepping up to the plate (or I guess grill in this case), we will.

Our brunch menu is a chalkboard menu that changes weekly. We will keep expanding our breakfast options as time goes on; the plan is to start small and solid and grow with time. This week we added a fresh fruit option.

We serve breakfast every Saturday from 10am to 3pm, and Sundays from 11am to 3pm.

- Pork Roll, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich with hash browns $8

- Steak, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich with hash browns $8

- Strawberry French Toast with hash browns $9

- Chocolate Chip Pan Cakes with hash browns $9

- Sausage of the Week and Eggs, featuring pork link sausage, with hashbrowns and toast $10.

- add fresh (no sugar added) fruit salad for just $1.50.
