Today is our 15th Anniversary doing business as The Grey Lodge Pub (the bar dates back to 1950). But the big news today is Grey Lodge Goes Bollywood at 6pm, when we put the India in India Pale Ale.

Grey Lodge Goes Bollywood
There will be still be dancing and music though not quite the spectacle I was hoping for, but it's all about the beer anyway. For tonight's festivities we will have 9 IPAs on tap and 4 in firkin, making for a lucky 13. More about the drafts and casks below.

We also have a load of IPAs in bottles and cans, including Stone Green Tea IPA.

No beef will be served tonight during Grey Lodge Goes Bollywood, instead we will have lamb steak sandwiches and rack of lamb.

And from 7 to 9pm, we will have Grey Lodge T-shirts for sale for just $10!

Draft Beer Update
Five kegs kicked last night: Allagash White, Victory Export Lager, Ithaca Dark Humor (sixtel), Penn Weizen, and Arcobrau Zwickl.

Tapped were:
Stoudts Heifer-in Wheat - three people told me last night how great this weizen is (Jesse, Kate and who else?). We may have to untap it tonight to get the rest of the IPAs tapped, but we will retap it as soon as the first IPA kicks (Pliny maybe?)

Philadelphia Newbold IPA - one of many IPA brewed right here in Philadelphia. Not all great beer has to be rare.

Sixpoint Chinook IPA - This is a special single-hopped IPA from Sixpoint. One of the rarer ones we have tonight.

Boxcar India Pale Ale - a new IPA from a newish local brewery.

Victory Yakima Glory - another local one. This is Victory's dark IPA. It's quite tasty.

To be tapped on or before 6pm:

Ballast Point Sculpin - a legendary IPA from San Diego (or as we like to say Sandy Eggy).

Sixpoint Bengali Tiger IPA - always a favorite here at the G-Lodge.

Sly Fox Route 113 IPA - another great local IPA.

Russian River Pliny the Elder - one of the heavy hitters of the IPA universe. It never lasts long wherever it is tapped.

Yards Cape of Good Hope IPA (firkin) - this is an Imperial Pale Ale as opposed to an India Pale Ale. Not sure what the difference is, but Cape of Good Hope is a solid banger. Cape of Good Hope is a when they make it sort of beer, this being only the 2nd time it has been brewed. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Yards IPA (firkin) - yet another great local IPA.

Dock Street Rye IPA with curry (firkin) - and yet another great IPA. Besides the normal rye, this firkin has been infused with curry to really India-ify it.

Weyerbacher Diamond IPA (firkin) - This 6%, 60ibu IPA has an extremely simple malt bill so as not to mask any hops. Northern brewer, glacier and simcoe hops were used. It was then dry hopped with those same three hops. This is a pre-release of the sixth and final IPA Project beer. This is also only Weyerbacher IPA Project firkin ever.
