Tuesday - The very first meeting of our new home brew club takes place at 7:30pm on our 2nd floor. Come out and make some new brewing buddies. Guest speaker will be former Philly Beer Geek, beer blogger, aspiring professional brewer, and all around great guy Steve Hawk. Wednesday - This week, Quizmaster Mike will host a General Quizzo. 8pm on our 2nd floor.
Friday - For our third Jodi's Firkin night at the Grey Lodge, Jodi of Stoudts Brewing will have for us an ESB that will uses carrots in the secondary fermentation. I had been thinking about the sugar content of carrots and whether they would be a good beer ingredient. I mentioned it to Jodi and she couldn't wait to do it, and suggested using Stoudts' ESB. This should be interesting. 5pm tapping.
And this weekend, our friends at Hop Angel kick off their first Oktoberfest, which will span 3 consecutive weekends.
