Firkinteenth Updates
02:30pm We currently have 8 cask ales available, though only 7 are sitting on the bar. Sixpoint's firkin had a hopbag mishap and stopped pouring, so we tapped Weyerbacher Last Chance. I didn't ring the bell since we didn't actually kick it.

Jersey Dan's MacGuyver instincts took over and we now have Sixpoint's hopbomb available once more. It's a two person, 1 filter, plus pickle bucket job, which can't fit behind the bar. But pitchers of it can.

04:48pm There's a lot of elbow room on the first floor right now and almost no wait to get a beer. This would be a perfect time to come in.

06:53pm Still lots of breathing room on both floors. We still have loads of cask ale. Stop on by!

07:34pm Man that Victory Range flew out of here. The after work crew is making good work of these firkins. Still got two to tap plus that 7 that are already tapped. Still a lot of room to move around (but not enough to jump, jump, jump up and around).

08:49pm I just tapped the last firkin, which means we still have 7 firkins on the bar. The night is young. After working all day, I will be having a "normal" draft beer before tearing into the cask ale. I especially want to try some of the Stoudts Peach Festbier.

Draft Beer Update

Kicked:
Manayunk Summer Paradise
Troegs Zwickel Licker
cask-conditioned Victory Hop Devil

Tapped:
Point Whole Hog Raspberry Saison (quarter barrel) - the names says it all I would expect. I think I will have one of these tonight, right after the Stoudts Peach Fest.

Batch 19 Pre-Prohibition Style Lager - this is a pre-prohibition style lager out of Coors in Golden Colorado. I remember having a bottle of this in the hotel bar of the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver and liking it. Now that the last firkin has been tapped (we still have loads of cask ale!) I can have a beer. I chose this one. It's pretty solid. Reminds me a little of the Troegs Zwickel Licker that it replaced.
