This Week at the Grey Lodge
Tonight, the Eagles are on Monday night football. Harvest beers and football, now that's a winning combo. And at least one half of the combo will be a winner, hopefully both. The Eagles are playing The Saints. Maybe the gumbo special will still be available for a taste of NOLA.

On Tuesday, join us on Election Night to watch the results with all three Yards Brewing Ales of the Revolution, which are Gen. Washington Porter, Thomas Jefferson Tavern Ale, and Poor Richard’s Tavern Spruce. Yards will have a ballot box where you can vote for your favorite Ale of the Revolution. Voting enters you to win some prizes from the brewery. A group of Yards folks will be bar crawling, decked out in red, white, and blue, giving out shirts and other what-nots. I am told we will be their second stop.

Tuesday is also when Chef Dave & da Kitchen Krew (R) unveil the week's food specials.

Wednesday is Quizzo with Quizmaster Chris3. As always, Quizzo is Wednesday, 8pm, on our second floor. See you there.

Friday is Funky Friday with all that entails.

On Saturday and Sunday, we have brunch as usual from 10am to 3pm.

Saturday afternoon, from 3pm to 6pm, the Mayfair Dog Park Committee is hosting a fund raiser with us. Our neighborhood is working to create a dog park, hopefully two (one at each end of the neighborhood). $15 for 3 hours of tasty Grey Lodge food. Cash bar. There will be a 50/50 and baskets to bid on. If you would like to donate a basket, please contact Mia Hylan, mhylan@gmail.com.

Also on Sunday, it's the Eagles vs. those unlikable Cowboys at 4pm. Seriously nobody around here could possibly be a Cowboys fan, right?

Draft Beer Update

Kicked: Old Forge Single Malt Fuggle, Dock Street Rye IPA-Fresh Hop, Lancaster Shoo Fly Porter, Dogfish Head Sah'Tea (sixtel), Dogfish Head Saison du Buff (sixtel), Dogfish Head Theobroma (sixtel), Dogfish Head 2011 World Wide Stout (sixtel), Sixpoint Autumnnation, Woodchuck Private Reserve Pumpkin Cider.

Tapped:

For tomorrow's Election Night with Yard's Ales of the Revolution, we have on tap all three Yards Ales of the Revolution. These beers were made following recipes handed down by the founding fathers.

Yards General Washington Porter - This is what General had brewed for the troops at Valley Forge. Or maybe they brewed it down at Mt. Vernon, which had both a brewery and a distillery on the grounds.

Yards Poor Richard's Tavern Spruce - at some point Ben wrote down a recipe for spruce ale. This is it.

Yards Thomas Jefferson Tavern Ale - Monticello, like Mt. Vernon, had a brewery on the groundsd. These were not stupid men. Anyhoo this one is based on a Monticello beer.

Long Trail Harvest Ale - back after the DFH tap take over, this beer uses ingredients freshly harvest from Vermont.

Sierra Nevada Northern Hemisphere - also back, this is the first harvest ale for many of us. Still as great as ever.

Bruery Autumn Maple (sixtel) - this is "the yam beer". This high octane beer is pretty much one of the best pumpkin beers ever, but with yams instead of pumpkins.
