Food Specials and Happenings in the Kitchen



Corned beef Reuben sandwich with french fries

Cornmeal crusted catfish with jalepeno-bacon polenta cake, collard greens, and a creole sauce

Seasoned pork loin with white rice, chorizo, cubanelle peppers, mushrooms, and a white wine butter sauce

Chicken and dumpling soup

Strawberry panna cotta with strawberry compote


Taco Tuesday:

Chili-garlic shrimp tacos with red onion-cucumber relish

Pork tacos with orange-fennel salsa

*both served with cilantro-lime cream

This frigid weather is still hanging around which means still no broccoli rabe.  Sauteed spinach continues to take it's place on our delicious short rib sandwich.  The corned beef Reuben was such a hit last week that we decided to run it again this week.  If you missed it last week, brave the cold, it's worth it.  Also, join us for quizzo tonight and you will have a chance to try some of our taco Tuesday inspirations on a Wednesday.  We a great lineup of food specials this week.  The spicy crab bisque is sure to thaw you out!  Also, Randy created a southern cornmeal catfish dish that is sure to please.  We have a lot of great events on the horizon including Groundhogs Day (kind of a big deal) and Valentine's Day.  The kitchen will be offering a condensed brunch menu on Groundhogs day of some of our favorites.  If you enjoy hula-hooping, drinking beer when you wake up, and a good old fashioned craft beer prognostication, come on down!  For Valentine's Day we will be offering a coursed prix fixe menu.  Stay tuned as I will be posting menus for both in the near future.  Don't miss our brunch on Saturday and Sunday morning, we will be offering smoked spiral cut ham steak with red eye gravy and grits!
