Happenings in the Kitchen

Our brunch special this week tastes as good as it looks.  Big Dan did a great job producing what looks like art on a plate.  If you weren't able to make it in today we offer brunch tomorrow as well, so don't miss out on the fried green tomato "BLT".  The "BLT" consists of sauteed spinach, proscuitto, roasted garlic aioli, and a truffled tomato emulsion between fried green tomatoes.

Last nights "Feast of the Epiphany" event was a grand success.  We offered fare influenced by Puerto Rican cuisine.  Our traditional meat pies, mofongo, and shrimp in beer flew off the line and we were sold out by 8:00, one hour before the event was scheduled to end.  We also sold a lot of deserts last night!  Randy came up with a cherry cordial cheesecake this week which has been very popular.  We still have more tonight, so come in and try one because they wont last long!  Also, the soup has changed from ham and potato to a vegetable soup that was a collaboration between both Big and Little Dan.

Following the success of "Taco night", we will be offering a unique taco or two every Tuesday.  Tuesday is a great day to come in see what our  kitchen is up to as the weekly specials all change by dinner time and now we will be offering some delicious new taco creations.
