Food Specials and happenings in the Kitchen

This week's chalkboard specials

Hot roast beef sandwich with melted Swiss cheese and caramelized onions.  Served with au jus and french fries

Chicken lo mein  (made with fresh lo mein noodles from Lung Hing noodle company)

Carolina style (vinegar based) pork sandwich with cole slaw on herb ciabatta.  Served with french fries.

Turducken roulade with vegetable risotto, baby carrots, and an Asian style duck jus  (Turducken roulade is a butterflied turkey, duck and chicken that is rolled, tied, and roasted with a spiced butter)

Roasted squash soup

Peanut butter and banana cheesecake coated with dark chocolate ganache

Tacos (For our Taco Tuesday)

Pork tacos with orange ensalada fresca

Short rib tacos with tomato-pepper relish

The turducken is still in the oven as it is a very long (but very worth it) cooking process.  I am definitely excited to cut into it tomorrow and taste how flavorful it is!  If you were able to make it out for some tacos tonight, you can't go wrong with either of them, Scoats tried both and is a fan.  Not a whole lot this week as far as events, but there are some coming up in the near future.  St. Patrick's day is right around the corner and we have a great brunch that you won't want to miss.  Also, Pi(e) Day is the same week and is sure to please.  We will have a variety of both savory and sweet pies for your enjoyment.  As always we have plenty of great beers to pair with our food so be sure to come out and enjoy!
