This Week at the Grey Lodge

It's one of those rare weeks when we have no special events, just regular goodness.

Tuesday as usual is Taco Tuesday. Taco Tuesday is a little bit different this week. Three members of our Tuesday kitchen krew will each create a different taco. You can try a platter with all three (or you can have all one kind, whatever you want; we're easy). If you order one of each, you will asked to vote for which one you liked best. The winning kitchen krew member gets bragging rights and some sort of prize from Chef Dave.

Wednesday is Quizzo with Quizmaster Pete. As usual Quizzo is 8pm on our 2nd floor.

Saturday & Sunday, we have brunch from 10am to 3pm. Our regular menu is available too. In addition to our regular menu, big Dan usually has a special brunch item.

Draft Beer Update

Kicked: Heavy Seas Riptide White IPA, Stoudts Big Brother Pils, Stoudts Smooth Hoperator, Neshaminy Creek County Line IPA.

Tapped:
Lancaster Gold Star Pilsner - one of the pilsners from our Philly Beer Week event Get Yer Fill of Pils. This is yet another really great pilsner made right here in Southeast Pennsylvania. Not as hoppy as Pikeland or Prima, this pilsner's mastery comes from the malt.

Victory St. Boisterous Hellerbock - Tracy Mulligan gave me a case of this as a wedding gift a little of six years ago. This was the beer that confirmed my love of lagers. A mellow but very interesting beer. It's good drinking.

Green Flash West Coast IPA - the original West Coast IPA at least for us around here. Still a winner after all these years.

Dogfish Head Aprihop - I remember being at a brewfest way back when Dogfish Head was much smaller and Sam C himself was still working their sampling table. Solo I might add. Sam was really jazzed about this one though I had my doubts. One taste showed that Sam was right, as usual. The fruit and hops compliment each other wonderfully. We always try to get a much of this seasonal as we can.
