This Week at the Grey Lodge 

Beer Season
Today is the first day of Deer Season here in Pennsylvania, which means it is also the first day of Beer Season here at the Grey Lodge, just like has for 18 years now.

Beer Season is our longest running promotion, starting in 1996, the same year we became The Grey Lodge Pub. In all these years, the deal hasn't changed. Beer Season runs for 13 weeks. Catch all 13 beers of the week, one a week, and receive a free limited-edition, not for sale, not available in stores, not as-seen-on-TV, non-toxic T-shirt.

We create a new design every season, so the shirts are instant collector's items, for those who collect such things.

This year for our 18th annual Beer Season, we are spotlighting lagers, Historically lagers have gotten bum rap in the craft beer world. This a shame since lagers can be amazing. We will spotlight bottom fermented beer in its many diverse varieties.

Week One's beer is Sly Fox Dunkel Lager. Usually in Germany, each town or city only makes one kind of beer. Even if there are multiple breweries, they all make the same style of beer. Like all rules, there is an exception or two. Munich is the exception here. Dunkel is a dark lager. Munich's other main styles are Helles, Hefeweizen, Dunkelweizen, and Doppelbock. Dunkel is a style that had become rather hard to find Munich. Happily we are here in the Philadelphia metro area, the Fertile Crescent of Beer, and we all sorts of styles of beer available to us.

Sly Fox brews their Dunkel as a fall seasonal. So once this one's gone, it's gone til next year. Sly Fox Dunkel is true to the style, dark, malty, and comes in at 5% ABV.

Beer for Toys for Tots

All week, it's Beer for Toys for Tots. Bring a new toy for the Toys for Tots program, get a free beer! Help make a better Christmas for needy kids AND get a beer in the deal. That's a win/win. One beverage per toy per day. So bring a new toy every day this week, get a free beer every day. Max value $6.

Taco Tuesday
Tuesday is Taco Tuesday from 5pm to midnight. Our kitchen krew comes up with three different tacos every week. Tacos are 3 for $7, mix and match as you like. The current week's selections are updated here every Tuesday afternoon.

Quizzo
Wednesday we have Quizzo at 8pm. This week's Quizmaster is Special Bob.

Weekend Brunch
Saturday and Sunday, we serve Brunch from 10am to 3pm. In addition to our regular brunch menu, Big Dan has a brunch special every weekend. Our regular menu is available too.
