Beer Season: Week 3 of Beer Season starts today. As you may recall this Beer Season is all about lagers. Glorious bottom fermented beer. In early days of the craft beer revolution, us beer geeks all poo-pooed lagers as were inferior to ales. We smarted up (well many of us) and grew to appreciate and love lagers. Those early days are long gone and maybe lagers now get the respect and love they deserve. But if they don't, this Beer Season will hopefully help fix that.
This week's beer of the week is Sly Fox Pikeland Pils. Pikeland is a hopped up American pilsner that is one of my favorite beers. And it shines when poured out of a can into a glass. This is one of the first craft beers to be canned locally.
Taco Tuesday: Tuesday is Taco Tuesday from 5pm to midnight. Our kitchen krew comes up with three different tacos every week. Tacos are 3 for $7, mix and match as you like. The current week's selections are updated here every Tuesday afternoon.
Friday the Firkinteenth (Thank and Extras): We want to thank everyone who made it to Friday's Firkinteenth. It was a great one! We were too enthusiastic and bought more firkins than we could tap. Three of them will get tapped for this Sunday's Festivus, the other two for Groundhog Day.
Quizzo: Wednesday we have Quizzo at 8pm. This week's Quizmaster is Chris3. Quizzo may be on the 1st floor this week.
Festivus: This Sunday is our 2nd Annual Festivus! Once again it will be an old fashioned Festivus with all the trimmings. People are still talking about last year's Festivus. Don't miss this one or you might not have anything to talk about in 2014. This is a really fun time and there will be loads of great Christmas beers on tap. It's a great way to kick off Christmas week.
Weekend Brunch: Saturday and Sunday, we serve Brunch from 10am to 3pm. In addition to our regular brunch menu, Big Dan has a brunch special every weekend. Our regular menu is available too.
