This Week at the Grey Lodge

Hey Zeus, do we have a week this week.

Tuesday is a 3-Fer!

1) Taco Tuesday: As usual Tuesday is Taco Tuesday from 5pm to midnight. Our kitchen krew comes up with three different tacos every week. Tacos are 3 for $8, mix and match as you like. The current week's selections are updated here every Tuesday afternoon.

2) As usual on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, the Lucky 13 Homebrew Club meets. They usually meet at 7:30pm. The meeting is being pushed up to 7pm for the Beer Geek Prelimary...

3) ... and we have a 2014 Philly Beer Geek Preliminary Round going on at 7pm. If you want to show the world your knowledge and passion for Philly beer, this is your chance.

Wednesday is a 2-fer!

1) Quizzo: Wednesday as usual we have Quizzo at 8pm. This week's Quizmasters are Chefs Dave & Andy. As usual Quizzo will be on our 2nd floor.

2) Watch the Philadelphia Union with us twice this week!. First on Wednesday at 8:30pm vs. Sporting Kansas City and then on Saturday at 8pm vs New England Revolution. All season long we will have give-ways during every Union game.

Thursday

On Thursday we will be serving our famous Thai Curry mussels at The Quaker City Yacht Club for Delaware River City's annual Spring Fling fund raiser. The DRCC is building a waterfront trail along the Delaware from Allegheny Ave to the city line with Bensalem. This is part of a trail that will go all the way down the Delaware River and eventually up and down the entire eastern seaboard. The DRCC has been making steady progress with a lot more pieces of the puzzle due to fall into place this year. Exciting times!

Friday is another 2-fer.

1) First up is SIPA = Sam India Pale Adams. We will have Sam IPAs five ways. Tyler will have some Sam goodies. 6pm to 9pm.

2) Second up is another of our Candidate Meet & Greet nights. This Friday, Jared Solomon will be joining us. Jared is running for State Senate.

Saturday and Sunday - Saturday is a 3-fer, Sunday is a 1-fer.

Saturday is the annual Mayfair May Fair. The Mayfair May Fair is annual day of fun for the whole family. Frankford Ave will be shut down from Ryan to Bleigh Street for a street fare with live music and more. We will be running a beer garden from noon to 4pm. Stop by and say hi. The annual Fallen Heroes Run is that morning.

Watch the Philadelphia Union with us twice this week!. First on Wednesday at 8:30pm vs. Sporting Kansas City and then on Saturday at 8pm vs New England Revolution. All season long we will have give-ways during every Union game.

Weekend Brunch: Saturday and Sunday, we serve Brunch from 10am to 3pm. In addition to our regular brunch menu, Big Dan has a brunch special every weekend. Our regular menu is available too.

Draft Beer Update

Kicked: Lagunitas New DogTown Pale Ale, Stoudts Gold, Stoudts Abbey Double, Boulder Shake Chocolate Porter, Jack's Helens Blend Cider.

Tapped:

Woodchuck Summer Cider - this is the blueberry one.

Allagash Saison - this is Allagash's newest year round beer. With lots of citrus and spice flavors, this golden ale is a great beer for spring.

21st Amendment Bitter American - 21st Amendment shows you can pack a lot of hops and malt flavor into a 4.4% session beer.

Evil Genius The Siren - this is an American Pale Ale, which means it will be amber in color, packed with hops and quite tasty. It clocks in at 7.2% abv.

Shawnee Raspberry Blanche (sixtel) - Shawnee had a stray nitro pour sixtel of this one avaialable so we hopped on it for our beer engine. I bet this one is going to be nice.
