Welcome Friday and our annual celebration of Xmas in July. We have 4 Christmas beers on for you tonight that include Lost Abbey Gift of the Magi, Manayunk Festivus, Anchor 2013 Our Special Ale and Troegs 2013 Mad Elf. The Mad Elf will not be tapped until about 6pm but the others are already on. We also have free desert (while supplies last) for those of you who order a meal with us.
Draft Beer Update:
Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA replaced Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA. A nice, big and hoppy Imperial IPA which we have not had on tap in quite a long time.
Manayunk Festivus replaced Sam Adams Blueberry Hill Lager. They use a different recipe every year to make each one a unique beer.
Flying Fish Farmhouse replaced Dogfish Head Festina Peche. The summer favorite is back, for how long we don't know.
Anchor 2013 Our Special Ale replaced Old Forge Double Chocolate Stout. We saved this one from this past Christmas season just so we can share it with you for Xmas in July.
Lost Abbey Gift of the Magi replaced Neshaminy Creek Leon Russian Imperial Smores Stout. A high ABV Belgian Strong Ale for Xmas in July.
Stoudts Heifer-in Wheat replaced Brooklyn Weisse. A true interpretation of a Bavarian-style unfiltered wheat beer.
Dock Street Cream Ale replaced Ithaca Flower Power IPA w/ Citra hops on the Beer Engine. A light but flavorful ale, best noted for its crisp malt profile and delicate fruitiness lent by both American Ale yeast and a characteristic addition of dextrose (corn sugar).
6:30pm Update:
Troegs 2013 Mad Elf replaced Lost Abbey Gift of the Magi. Unfortunately the Lost Abbey is pouring bad so we had to take it off. The 2013 Mad Elf went on in its place so not a bad trade off.
