7pm Update

Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA replaced Round Guys Kiss Off IPA. One of Dogfish Head's non-flagship flagship beers. This is a standard kick-ass IPA. What makes it a Dogfish beer is that rather than adding hops 2 or 3 times, Dogfish Head adds them continually for 60 minutes during the boil. This one is 6% ABV.

Coming up on tap after 60 Minute is it's big brother 90 Minute IPA, with 9% ABV and 90 minutes of hopping. There is an even bigger brother, 120 Minute IPA, with an ABV of about 20% and 2 full hours of hopping. The interesting thing is that the big bitter hop flavor we tend to associate with IPAs comes from hops that have barely been boiled and are added after the boiling has ended. This is known as dry-hopping. So while 120 Minute has way, way more hops, many of us perceive it as less hoppy. So you have all that info now and we have 60 Minute on right now and 90 Minute coming on when 60 kicks, which should be 48 hours or less (hopefully). You can see for yourself if what I've written is full of BS or not.

If you want to try 120 Minute IPA, well that's a little harder since Dogfish usually only brews it once a year. We usually get one that we tap every January 20th, an event we call 120 on 01/20.
