This Week at the Grey Lodge

Beer for Toys = Toys for Tots & Beer Season.
We have two week long things kicking off today.

First up is our annual Beer for Toys = Toys for Tots. Bring in a new toy for Toys for Tots and we will give you a free beer (or non-alcohol beverage if you prefer). Needy kids get toys, you get beer!

Today also marks day 1 of week 1 of 2014-15 Beer Season. Beer Season is our longest running promotion. It is now in its 19th year, just like the Grey Lodge itself. For 19 years, the deal remains the same. Bag each beer of the week, for 13 weeks, get a free T-shirt, the kind with stuff on it, not the plain white kind.

Taco Tuesday: Tuesday is Taco Tuesday from 5pm to midnight. Our kitchen krew comes up with three different tacos every week. Tacos are 3 for $8, mix and match as you like. The current week's selections are updated here every Tuesday afternoon.

Quizzo: Wednesday we have Quizzo at 8pm. This week's Quizmaster is Alison. As usual Quizzo will be on our 2nd floor.

Weekend Brunch: Saturday and Sunday, we serve Brunch from 10am to 3pm. In addition to our regular brunch menu, Big Dan has a brunch special every weekend. Our regular menu is available too.

Draft Beer Update

Flying Fish Exit 1 Bayshore Oyster Stout was untapped to make way for Narragansett Autocrat Coffee Milk Stout, the first beer of the current Beer Season, which starts today. Exit 1 will be back. Narragansett is a former regional brewery from Rhode Island that was resurrected a few years ago. They seem to be shooting to be the Yuengling of New England. Even if they aren't, they should because that rhymes. John Kneiss requested this one, so we got it. It also fits in with year's Beer Season theme of beers never before seen at the Grey Lodge.

Neshaminy Creek The Shape of Hops to Come sure is a popular one. The draft is kicked quick (even with 3 other IPAs on tap) and the cans are almost gone too. Replacing it is Elysian Space Dust IPA. Elysian has found dozens of ways to make an IPA; this one is cosmic.

Speaking of Neshaminy Creek, Neshaminy Creek Creekfestbier Lager replaced DuClaw / Mad Fox Grid Lock. We almost missed out on Neshimany Creek's festbier, but happily we didn't. It's December but who cares; a great lager is a great lager anytime.
