It's the week of New Years. At the Grey Lodge that means college students are still in town so we get to see some new faces. It also means that some Christmas beers are still on tap. With the huge number of NYE parties in the neighborhood, we don't expect Wednesday night to be too busy. If you are looking to escape a lousy party, or pregame before a party with terrible beer, stop on by... we'll be here.

This Week at the Grey Lodge

Taco Tuesday: Tuesday is Taco Tuesday from 5pm to midnight. Our kitchen krew comes up with three different tacos every week. Tacos are 3 for $8, mix and match as you like. The current week's selections are updated here every Tuesday afternoon.

Due it falling on New Years Eve, there will be no Quizzo this week, but otherwise Wednesday will be a totally normal day of the year.

Weekend Brunch: Saturday and Sunday, we serve Brunch from 10am to 3pm. In addition to our regular brunch menu, Big Dan has a brunch special every weekend. Our regular menu is available too.

Draft Beer Update

On our black beer line, Yards Russian Imperial Stout replaced Red Castle King's Mistress. This is a big boy, weighing in at almost 11% ABV. This one has everything you expect from a Russian imperial stout, huge flavor to go with the huge ABV.

Ithaca Embrr Rye Porter is this week's Beer Season beer of the week. This porter combines chocolate malt with rye. Chocolate malt gets its chocolately goodness from the way it is roasted, not from any actual chocolate. Rye tends to be sticky; it also tends to heighten hop flavors. The combo should be every interesting. I plan to have a few while throwing darts on Friday.

Breckenridge Christmas Ale replaced Evil Genius Naughty or Nice. Breckenridge Christmas is NOT a spiced beer, which actually is quite a refreshing change of pace these days. It's based on a nice ale made even nicer for this time year with a little more of everything except for water. The first barrel we tapped last week or so kicked super fast. If you missed it the first time around, here's you second and final chance for this year's batch.

On line, our small pour line, Chimay Red (sixtel) replaced Fegleys Brew Works Rude Elfs Reserve. Chimay Red aka Premiere is THE iconic Belgian Abbey Dubbel. Sometimes it's nice to treat yourself to the original.
