This Week at the Grey Lodge

Taco Tuesday: Tuesday is Taco Tuesday from 5pm to midnight. Our kitchen krew comes up with three different tacos every week. Tacos are 3 for $8, mix and match as you like. The current week's selections are updated here every Tuesday afternoon. By request, there will be a fish taco this week.

Quizzo: Wednesday we have Quizzo at 8pm. This week's Quizmaster is Shan McD with a General Quizzo. As usual Quizzo will be on our 2nd floor.

More Candidates: Of part of our Meet the Candidates Project, this Friday we welcome Nelson Diaz at 7pm. Judge Diaz is running for mayor.

Last weekend we met Doug Oliver on Friday and Jim Kenney on Saturday, both of whom are running for mayor. We had another candidate who was a no-show but that's their loss.

We invite all candidates to set up a time with us for a very casual meet and greet. We have reached out to everyone we could find, but some of them have not responded. If you know of a candidate who is not yet scheduled, please ask them to contact me at scoats@greylodge.com

Saturday is 04/04 which means it's Quad Day here at the Grey Lodge. As we have done for years now, we will have 4 Quads on tap.

Weekend Brunch: Saturday and Sunday, we serve Brunch from 10am to 3pm. In addition to our regular brunch menu, Big Dan has a brunch special every weekend. Our regular menu is available too. Last weekend's Nutella Crepe was a big hit and will be back a few times in future months. This weekend in honor of Easter Big Dan will have a Bunny Pancake with fruit. Hop on over.

Sunday Night Special: Beer and Cheese Pairing. It's week two of our week 169 week Beer and Cheese Odyssey. For 169 weeks, we will feature one of the 169 cheeses profiled in Di Bruno Bros. House of Cheese: A Guide to Wedges, Recipes, and Pairings by Tenaya Darlington. This week's pairing will be Pecorino Romano and Troegs Nugget Nectar,

Picture of the Day

Today's picture of the day is from last Friday's meet the author night with Duane Swierczynski. We are trying to have a different local author once a month to sell and sign their work. Next month we welcome Jon McGoran back on Friday, 24 April.

Draft Beer Update

On our lager line, Sly Fox Pikeland Pils replaced Batch 19 Pre-Prohibition Style Lager. Pikeland is a great hoppy pilsner.

On our wheat beer line, Sierra Nevada Kellerweis replaced Round Guys Wall Flower Wheat. Kellerweis is an authentic Bavarian style hefeweizen, yeasty, cloudy, fruity. Sierra never does anything half way and this hefeweizen is no exception. It is only one made in the USA using open fermentation, which probably explains the slightly sour (in a good way) back end taste that I pick up.

On our IPA line, Great Lakes Chillwave replaced Free Will Kragel IPA. Chillwave is a double or maybe triple IPA. More of every ingredient but water. This one clocks in at 9.4% ABV so go easy hopheads.
