We had a lot of fun with mayor candidate Nelson Diaz and his wife Sara last night. Fun people. In all of our years of hosting candidate meet and greets, this is the first time a candidate sang happy birthday to a patron. But seeing Mando salsaing with Mrs. Diaz is the real highlight. We  have more candidates to meet before the election. They say they will pop in a few more times before the election.

Draft Beer Update
It's Quad Day all day today. Happily we had four lines turn over last night, just in time to put on four quads. Otter Creek Twentieth Anniversary Ale (sixtel) replaced Summit 3X Mild. While not technically a Belgian style quad, in honor of their 20th Anniversary, this beer uses 4x the malt and 4x the hops of their flagship beer.

On our IPA line, Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA replaced Dock Street Rye IPA. When this first came out we ran it exclusively for about two months. Nobody had a problem with that. Now even Sierra has 2 or 3 IPAs at any time, so this one sometimes gets lost in the mix. Draftwise anyway, we always have Torpedo cans.

9pm Update:

Shiner 106 Birthday Beer Chocolate Stout replaced itself.

Boulder Shake Chocolate Porter replaced Breckenridge Vanilla Porter on the hand pump. An American porter made with Chocolate Wheat and cacao nibs.
