Thanks to everyone who came out on Friday to make another wonderful Firkinteenth. We kicked 25 firkins and almost kicked the 26th (it kicked on Sat). Friday the Firkinteenth (the real one) is a great event thanks to all the nice people who attend and make it such a jolly time. And of course the brewers who make great cask beer for the event. Thanks everyone.

And I'd also like thank all the great folks who work here at The Grey Lodge who picked up the slack and held down the fort while I was home violently ill. Chris Dominski is taking a few nights well deserved R&R down in DC.

Draft Beer Update
Since Chris last updated the Website yesterday, kicked were: Long Trail Belgian White
Stoudts Smooth Hoperator, and Port Shark Attack. Jeez that Long Trial had to have kicked in less than 24 hours. I don't recall it being tapped on Friday, but then I was rather feverish. People like Belgian style wits. I shall keep that in mind.

Replacing them were Manayunk Hop Phanatic, Dark Horse Plead the 5th Imperial Stout, and Penn Weizen.

Manayunk Hop Phanatic is a super hopped double IPA with a light homage to our Fightin' Phils.

Dark Horse Plead the 5th is a super high octane imperial stout. This bad boy weighs in at over 12% ABV, so small pours only.

Penn Weizen isn't super anything, except from my memory super good. This is a hefeweizen from Pittsburgh's resurrected Penn Brewery. Penn is one of PA's oldest microbreweries. I'm not sure if they or Stoudts came first, but it was about the same time. Penn went throug some sort of legal/ownership thing and shut down for a little bit. It's been back in operation for less than year now. Is their hefe good as it ever was? Well I for one can't wait to find out.
