2012 BEST OF THE PHILLY BEER SCENE VOTING
It is time again for Philly Beer Scene Magazine’s Best of awards. We are in the Best Bar (City) category and Best Event category, in which we are competing against ourselves in addition to others.

We would appreciate it if you vote for us. If you are so inclined, here is the link: http://www.phillybeerscene.com/2012-best-of-the-philly-beer-scene/

Polls close soon, so please vote ASAP.

Thank you!

This Week at The Grey Lodge Pub
Tuesday and Thursday: Our TVs and our attention will be tuned to the Flyers vs. the Devils. 7:30pm both nights. Cheer along with us.

Terrific Tuesday: When we get a rare beer, we now try to break it out on the Tuesday after it arrives at 7pm. This Tuesday (the 1st) we will tap Sierra Nevada Hopitimum. Next Tuesday (the 8th), we will tap Oscar Blues Deviant Dales at 7pm. If we get Pliny the Younger again next year, you now know when we will tap it.

Wednesday: This week's Quizmaster is Chris3. As always Quizzo, is every Wednesday at 8pm on our second floor.

Draft Beer Update

Roy Pitz Best Blonde replaced Stone Vertical Epic. Best Blonde is a Kolsch style beer using all German ingredients. It clocks in a 4.5%, which makes it a session beer. Session beers have an alcohol by volume of 4.5% or less. I mention this because line 3 is going to be our session beer line and Best Blonde, while not on line 3 at the moment will likely be a  home there in the future. This is as part of Lew Bryson's Session Beer Project, which we heartily endorse.

Lost Abbey Serpent Stout is back on tap. It replaced Stone 15th Anniversary. If you are in the mood for a big, big stout, this SOB is what you are looking for.

Boulder Hazed and Infused replaced Long Trail Double Bag. Hazed is a really tasty, hoppy beer that clocks in at just 4.9%. It's a perfect beer. Not quite a session beer, but close.

The first three sixtels of Woodchuck Spring Cider replaced Woodchuck Belgian White Cider. That Belgian White Cider was some great stuff; it will be back. Replacing it is another really great cider from Woodchuck. Their spring seasonal uses Vermont maple syrup. Vermont apples + Vermont maple syrup may make you lovermont. Maple syrup doesn't seem to work well with beer, but with cider, it's the bees knees.
