This Week at The Grey Lodge Pub
Tuesday - We try to tap (or open a case) of something really special every Tuesday at 7pm, which is what makes for a terrific Tuesday. This Week's Terrific Tuesday beer will be Port Brewing Anniversary Ale. This is an overhopped monster weighing in at 10% ABV. We wanted to get this on ASAP while the hops were at their freshest. 7pm

Wednesday - this week's Quizmaster will be Chris3. As usual, Quizzo is Wednesday, 8pm, on our second floor.

Friday/Saturday/Sunday - we are in a little moment of calm between the Mayfair May Fair and the craziness of Philly Beer Week (click to see what will have going on). So we are taking it easy on events  this weekend. But that doesn't mean we won't have a stellar beer list and that the kitchen won't be cranking out great food. No sirree.

Draft Beer Update
Sorry for this being a few days behind. Once the Mayfair May Fair was underway we didn't have a moment to update it. And yesterday was  a recharge day for those of Chris and me, the two who update this stuff. I am fully recharged and writing this before 8am.

We had 7 Yards beers on tap for the MFMF and Tom Kehoe was on hand. To get those 7 Yards beers on tap, we had to untap 3 kegs, which will be coming back. Below is a rundown of what kicked since Saturday afternoon, what was untapped awaiting return, and what was tapped and is still on tap.

Kicked:
Sly Fox Macht Schnell Kolsch
Manayunk Hidden River Wit
Hofbrau Sommer
Weyerbacher Victor
Woodchuck Spring Cider (sixtel)
Yards IPA

Untapped and Coming Back:
Elysian Bete Blanche Tripel
Troegs Java Head Stout
Full Pint Hobnobber

Tapped:
Woodchuck Belgian White Cider - a cider for beer lovers! This one was Belgian wit yeast and has coriander and orange rind, just like a Belgian Wit beer. Hopefully Sean Null gets to try this one. Our cider line has never had a non-gluten beverage running through it, so this one should be safe for people with gluten issues.

Troegs Sunshine Pils - this summer seasonal is always a bit hit here at the Grey Lodge. I predict it won't be on for long.

Boulder Hazed and Infused this reasonable ABV beer is full of flavor. Simply a great beer.

Yards Chocolate Love Stout (sixtel) - a special chocolate version of Yards Love Stout. The chocolate is not overpowering, but definitely evident. Very nice.

Yards MacDougal's Scotch Ale (sixtel) - a rare Scotch ale from Yards.

Yards Brawler - Yards's great session beer. This was tasting very nice while listening to SexySadie Band on Saturday.

Yards Saison - Yards take on the Belgian farmhouse saison style. Very nice for hot weather.

Yards IPA - we had a feeling this English style IPA might kick before the MFMF was over, so we got two to run back to back. We were right. The first kicked Saturday. This is the second.
