Draft Beer Update

Great Lakes Holy Moses White Ale replaced Boaks Double BW. Great Lakes is a really great, pretty good sized brewery out of Cleveland. They came into the Philly market a little over 2 years ago. If they came in here 10 years earlier, everyone would have been beside themselves. Now as it is, nobody pays much notice. Which is a shame, because they are first rate. This is one is a Belgian White style ale. If you love Hoegarten, you'll love Holy Moses.

Philadelphia Fleur de Lehigh replaced Sprecher Special Amber. Fleur de Lehigh is one of Philly Brewing's coolest beers. This spring seasonal beer is brewed with chamomile, rhubarb, ginger, rose hips, and lemon grass; then fermented with a Belgian yeast strain. It's tasty. This is a brewery that often doesn't get the respect it deserves. Fleur is noteworthy beer.

A sixtel of Great Divide Espresso Yeti replaced the sixtel of Lost Abbey Bourbon-Barrel Angel Share. Great Lakes makes several versions of Yeti, their imperial stout. We have had them all on tap at one time or another. This Yeti as the name suggests is made with coffee. Anil  has been waiting for this one to be tapped. His wait is over.

5pm Update: Flying Fish Hopfish replaced Troegs Nugget Nectar. We tap so many Flying Fish seasonals (plus Abbey Dubbel) that we almost never get Hopfish on tap. Today we get to rectify that. Almost time for a refresher pint so I can remember what Hopfish is like.

Philly Beer Week
Philly Beer Week is coming up fast! PBW runs from Friday, June 01 to Sunday June 10. We have loads and loads of events planned for PBW. I will updating the events page all weekend.
