Mon, 04 June 2012

I know it says Chris, but this is Scoats. We are having some Dropbox issues.

Beer Week continues at a mad clip. Between here and Hop Angel, we have already have 10 events for Philly Beer Week 2012 in the history book. We still have 15 more to go! All Philly Beer Week details are right here.

I took advantage of Greg cleaning the beer lines this morning to get all the beers set up for the next two events, which are You Don't Know Dick, And You Probably Never Will... Takin It Easian with Elysian (today from 5 to 7pm) and Three Bourbons, Three Scotches, Five Beers, the song stylings of Lew Bryson (Tuesday from 7 to 9pm. This is something Chris usually does these days and something I don't think he trusts me to do anymore (I can live with that). Don't worry Chris; I don't think I boned it.

Untapped but coming back: River Horse Hop Hazard, Boaks Two Blind Monks, Cricket Hill East Coast Lager, Ramstein Maibock, Spring House Planet Bean Coffee Stout, Spring House Beyond the Gates.

That Cricket Hill East Coast Lager was a really pleasant surprise for both Lew and me last night. It's a darn fine beer. I'll be waiting for that one to come back. Marty was really jazzed by Spring House Planet Bean. I know he will be happy to see that one come back. And peeps have been really digging on Spring House Beyond the Gates. So lots of great stuff coming up and lots of great stuff coming back.

Kicked: Elysian Loser. Just in time for four other Elysian beers to go for tonight.

Tapped:
Elysian Peste Chocolate Chili Ale - this is what it says it is. I will definitely be having some of this tonight.

Green Flash West Coast IPA - We ordered Hill Farmstead Edward. We got a saison. I'm sure it will be great, but we are sort already bursting at the seams with beer. Anywho replacing Edward for tomorrow's Lew karaoke event is this old standby, which will be doing double duty for Wednesday's Green Flash event.

Victory Dark Lager - we have a little of this one left. Enjoy it while it lasts. If all goes a expected/hoped, it will kick before tomorrow night.

Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter - this another for tomorrow's Lew event. We asked Lew to pick his three favorite scotches, three favorite bourbons and five favorite beers for Three Bourbons, Three Scotches, Five Beers, the song stylings of Lew Bryson. This perfect porter from Cleveland's Great Lakes was one of them.

Elysian Avatar Jasmine IPA - one of four Elysians for tonight's You Don't Know Dick, And You Probably Never Will... Takin It Easian with Elysian. This is an IPA with jasmine. We've had it on tap a few times. It's quite nice. The jasmine works.

Elysian Prometheus Stolen Fire IPA - Elysian is a west coast brewery, so they of course make 20 or so different IPAs. This is one of them. I am positive hopheads will approve.

Elysian Split Shot - this a milk stout made with coffee.
