Just in time for tonight's Sly Fox 13th Anniversary Party, Sly Fox Aurora IPA replaced
Atlantic Bar Harbor Blueberry, a sixtel of Sly Fox Black Raspberry Reserve replaced a 1/4 barrel of Philadelphia (Pedro) Feliz Navidad, and cask conditioned Sly Fox British Pale Ale replaced Sly Fox Route 113 IPA on our handpump.
This week's beer season Beer of Week, Green Flash West Coast IPA, replaced itself. This is no surprise. It will take 3 full 1/2s of GFWCIPA to make it through this week.
Later in the Night Updates: The folks from Sly Fox brought with them a firkin of Sly Fox Phoenixville Pale Ale, which we are serving via gravity pour.
Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale kicked. Replacing it is the very rare and strangely unGoogleable Weissenohe Monks Christmas. This is a rare one; only 8 kegs came into the wholesaler. We have been sitting on ours for a month waiting for the calendar to get closer to Xmas. This has beer nothing about it on the tubes. Google it for yourself if you don't believe me. Bear from Stockertown had the 411 though. It is a malty Christmas lager brewed at the Weissenohe Monastery in Germany. You may remember that their Festbier was really good.
Tonight: Sly Fox 13th Anniversary Party!
Sly Fox turned 13 this month. 13! 13! 13! That's a number we can't let that go uncelebrated.
We'll have 13 kind of Sly Fox in draft, handpump cask, gravity cask, cans and bottles.
Draft (2): Aurora IPA and a sixtel of Black Rasp
On our Handpump (1): Rte 113 IPA backed up with British Pale
Gravity Pour Firkin (1): cask-conditioned Pheonixville Pale Ale
Cans (4): Dunkel Lager, Royal Weisse, Pikeland Pils, Phoenixville Pale Ale
Big Bottles (5): Ichor, Incubus, Xmas, Odyssey, and Gang Aft Agley.
Meet the brewers! Both Brian O'Reilly and Tim Ohst will be on hand to help celebrate (and to drink beer and eat cake).
And we have cake! It's not a party without cake.
