Draft Beer Update
It was a Christmas miracle, sort of. We needed four lines to open up for tonight's Mad Elf/Happy You Night and four lines opened up. Kicked were Port Mongo, Roy Pitz McKulick Scottish Red Ale, and Duck Rabbit Wee Heavy Scotch Style Ale.
Tapped were: 2009 Troegs Mad Elf and 2010 Troegs Mad Elf. We stored the 2009 since last year to tap tonight for side by side tastings of Mad Elf. The elf is working his magic. There are a lot of happy people upstairs.
Nick brought more Mad Elf glasses than ever, but sold out of glasses in less than 30 minutes. He still had some shirts as of a few minutes ago. We still have loads of Mad Elf beer though. We'll even tap another barrel of 2010 Mad Elf, if this one kicks tonight. It's never too late for Mad Elf tonight.
We also tapped a sixtel of Troegs Scratch #37 for tonight. It's a 7.8% abv IPA.
Somebody was supposed to bring a sixtel of Troegs Scratch #38 with them but forgot. We can forgive him, he's temporarily disabled but still working. He promises that sixtel will arrive here soon. Filling in the open spot is Sam Adams Winter Lager, which is a wheaty dark lager.TT
