Merry Christmas
We will be here all day today til 2am. Our kitchen will be open to 1am. If you need a break, we're here. Even if you don't need a break, we're still here. Tomorrow, Christmas Day, our first floor bar will open at 7pm.
Draft Beer News
Sly Fox Xmas Ale replaced itself. The five barrels of this super popular beer we had for this Christmas are kicking over just as planned. We have this barrel and a whole other one left to tap for this year.
It's maybe the Christmas and time for Christmassy beers, but we haven't forgotten our hopheads, Ithaca Flower Power IPA replaced Stoudts Smooth Hoperator.
Also for our hopheads, Sixpoint Bengali Tiger IPA replaced Sixpoint Spelt Wine. It's almost like it's Christmas or something for hopheads.
Jim Josten's long patient wait for Sprecher Special Amber has finally come to an end. It replaced Stegmaier Holiday Warmer.
Just in time for Christams Eve, 2010 Troegs Mad Elf replaced Port Brewing Santa's Little Helper. We have another keg of Mad Elf to tap when this one goes. A very merry christmas indeed.
Saranac Seasons Best replaced Abita Christmas Ale. Saranac Seasons Best is an American Dark Lager with a delicate nut-like character.
On our beer engine, Boaks Wooden Beanie kicked. We will tap a firkin of Dogfish Head 75 Minute for the handpump next week. Sounds like a great New Years Eve beer.
I got to have a few beers last night. Great Lakes Christmas lived up to the buzz around it. We still have about a 1/2 barrel. This year's Anchor Our Special Ale is wonderful; we are on our 2nd barrel. Abita Christmas Ale was last night's very pleasant surprise.
