Man, Ella did a really nice version of that song.
What will you be doing New Year's Eve? We will be rocking out with the live surf rock of Rey Rico and drinking some completely kick-ass beer... Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA, Dogfish Head World Wide Stout, Russian River Consecration, Brooklyn Cuvee Noir, Sly Fox Odyessy IPA and more! We have balanced the draft beer line-up with some sessionable beers too, so you can hang for while.
$10 gets you the band, free munchies between 9 and 10pm, hats, noisemakers. What a deal!
Draft Beer Update
Kicked yesterday were Founders Pale Ale, Troegs Mad Elf, Yards Poor Richard's Tavern Spruce, Sly Fox Xmas Ale, and Victory Harvest Ale. Wow that's a lot of turnover. We have a keg each of Mad Elf and Sly Fox Xmas stashed away for Xmas in July, which appropriately will be next July.
Tapped last night were:
- Sly Fox Oydessy IPA. Sly Fox brews this double IPA every year for their anniversary. A nice super hopped beer just in time for for new years eve. Sometimes plans work out.
- Victory Pursuit Pale Ale - Citra/Simcoe. Pursuit is Victory's line of single-hopped pale ales, though this one actually uses two hops. We had this on tap a few weeks ago. It was so good that we jumped on the chance to score a second one. I bet this one will be just as tasty the second time around.
- a firkin of cask-conditioned Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA is on our handpump. We held off on tapping this one until New Years Eve; well it's NYE and it's on!
- Dogfish Head Shelter Pale Ale, this week's Beer Season Beer of the Week replaced itself. This somewhat elusive beer is Dogfish's most normal beer. It's really an excellent sessionable beer. Dogfish can do big and crazy, but they can do normal great too.
- Brooklyn Cuvee Noire. This one sounds really tasty. I can't wait to drink tonight.
- Dogfish Head World Wide Stout. This huge 18% ABV stout is legendary. What better way to ring in the New Year?
- Russian River Consecration. This sour ale has been getting even funkier in our cellar. This is another one I can't wait to try.
