Philly Beer Week keeps rolling on at The Grey Lodge. This afternoon from 5pm to 7pm, join us and Brian Grossman from Sierra Nevada for Hanging with Sierra Nevada. We will have loads of cool Sierra Nevada beer on tap incl their Double IPA (attention Chez and Anil), Weizenbock, Ovila, and more. Despite what the poster says, we won't have Southern Hemisphere.

Get Yer Fill of Pils Update: Southampton Keller Pils is lost in New Jersey. But we got something else that might knock yer socks off even more, Sly Fox Standard Pils, a one-off which The Inquirer recently named Philly's Best Beer. Johnny Brenda's kindly let us buy of the kegs that was supposed to go to them. Get Yer Fill of Pils is tomorrow (Thursday the 9th) from noon to midnight (or later).

Posters (some of which are still totally accurate) are on our Philly Beer Week page.

We'll be back with an update to this post when we tap the beers this afternoon.

Draft Beer Update:

Kicked:
Ottos Double D IPA, Golden Avalanche Spring Bock, Old Forge Loadmaster ESB, Cigar City El Lector Dark Mild,
Cigar City Expresso Maduro

Untapped and to return in the near future:
Yards General Washington Porter, Yards Poor Richard's Tavern Spruce, Cigar City Maduro.

Tapped:
(sixtel)- A Double IPA from one of their Beer Camps.

Sierra Nevada Kellerweis (sixtel)- Kellerweis is one of the only American Hefeweizens made using the traditional Bavarian style of open fermentation.

Sierra Nevada Ovila Dubbel (sixtel)- Ovila Abbey Dubbel is brewed in the abbey tradition, and perfect for the re-birth of spring. The aroma is a heady and layered mix of fruit and spice, with hints of clove, raisin, and black pepper from the use of an abbey style yeast.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale- One of the original Pale Ales to come out of California.

Sierra Nevada Torpedo- We have gone through a bunch of these kegs, so why not do it again.

Sierra Nevada Weizenbock (sixtel)- Another Beer Camp beer that is brewed with the hefeweizen masters at the Brauerei Fritz Gutmann.

Dock Street Bohemian Pils- Brewed in the style of the original pilsner beers of Bohemia in a tradition that dates back to 1842.

Stoudts Pils- Characteristic of the traditional European Pilseners, it is straw-yellow and assertively hopped with Saaz hops.
