Today is our 2nd Annual Philly Beer Week Get Yer Fill of Pils event. We are pouring pilsners on all 10 of our draft lines, all day and all night. One of the nice things about this event, besides so many truly great pilsners, is that is extremely local, putting some Philly to Philly Beer Week. 9 of the pilsners on tap were brewed here in Pennsylvania; the 10th was brewed in Delaware.

- I had some of the Victory Braumeister Czech Saaz Pils last Monday at Hop Angel Brauhaus. Lemme tell ya, if there was a brewery that didn't already make a great pilsner, this would be a great addition to their line-up.
- Victory Prima and Sly Fox Pikeland are both amazing great pilsners that we around here get to drink all the time. It's nice to have an opportunity to showcase these two beers that amazing yet everyday for us.
- Stoudts has been making German style lagers for 30 years. Stoudts Pils has 30 years of experience behind it.
- Chris notes what's so special about Sly Fox Standard Pils below. This one didn't make it to many places in Philly, only 4 (including us) that I am aware of, plus the 2 Sly Fox Brewpubs.
- Troegs Sunshine is yet another amazing beer from Troegs. Jeez, pretty much everthing those folks do is great.
- I haven't had Manayunk Bills Pils, Twin Lakes Rte 52, or Sixpoint Crisp Pils recently enough to make a comment. Happily I can rectify that today.

Draft Beer Update:

Kicked:
Sixpoint Diesel Stout

Untapped and to return in the near future:
Sierra Nevada Weizenbock, Sierra Nevada Torpedo, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Sierra Nevada Ovila Dubbel, Sierra Nevada Kellerweis, Sierra Nevada Double IPA, Marley Dock Jumper Dunkel.

Tapped:
Sixpoint "Sehr Crisp" Pilsner- A German-style bohemian pilsner.

Sly Fox Pikeland Pilsner- A Northern German style Pilsner brewed with imported German Pils malt and hopped with German and Czech hops. One of the best out there.

Sly Fox Standard Pilsner- A keller, or unfiltered Pils, hopped exclusively with German Spalt hops. It was ranked #1 by the Inquirer for best new beers. A special thanks to William Reed of Standard Tap for letting us score one of these beauties.

Troegs Sunshine Pils- This pilsner delivers a refreshing hop bitterness and a zesty, vibrant finish. Another great pilsner to have on this freaking hot day.

Twin Lakes Rte 52 Pils (quarter barrel)- A good, clean, crisp Pilsner.

Victory Prima Pils- My favorite Pilsner, it is a little hoppier than most.

Victory Braumeister Pils- Another unfiltered Pilsner that is hopped exclusively with Czech Saaz hops.

Manayunk Bills Pils- Reminiscent of those brewed in Northern Germany, it has a clean flavor and a dry finish.
