Draft Beer Update
River Horse Hopalotamus didn't last long. Replacing it is Sixpoint Bengali Tiger IPA. Bengali won't last long either if history is any guide. But no prob, we are getting more Bengali in next week, along with a whole host of other IPAs for Grey Lodge Goes Bollywood on Saturday the 13th. Details directly below. Sat 13 Aug: Grey Lodge Goes Bollywood, 5pm - 10pm
The Grey Lodge goes Bollywood! We're putting the India in India Pale Ale!
I'm really excited for this event. Grey Lodge Goes Bollywood was originally planned for Philly Beer Week, but we pushed it back to August because it's going to be too rad to have gotten lost in the amazing overload that was Philly Beer Week. August 13th also marks the 15th Anniversary of The Grey Lodge Pub.
Dance Numbers
We invite everyone to join us in the dance numbers. We will have two easy to follow dances. This aspect of the night has the opportunity to really bomb, but who knows, it might be crazy cool.

The first dance goes
- flap arms like a bird
- squiggly vertical hand that passes in line with your nose

- drink a beer
- repeat
I haven't watched enough Bollywood Youtube videos yet to have a 2nd dance. When I do, it will be online at http://news.greylodge.com
Create Your Own Bollywood Costume
Costumes are not necessary, but if you feel the urge, go for it. Based on my Youtube research, dudes need a long head scarf thing and a vest. Tying two bandannas together makes for a headscarf of the right length. It's practical as well as stylish. You always have a handy bandanna to wipe face perspiration with. Cutting the arms and collar off a thrift store bound shirt creates a passable vest. Complete the outfit with a T-shirt and pair of shorts. Learn your dance moves and you're set.
As for women... well it's too complicated for me to figure out. Your suggestions are encouraged (scoats@greylodge.com)
If dance numbers bomb (or should that be "when"), we at least will have loads of great and interesting IPAs to divert everyone's attention. Here's the anticipated beer line-up. We have loads of awesome IPAs plus some special India-ified firkins. We are also hoping to work a black IPA into the mix.

At the Grey Lodge, we are blessed to have Indian Americans as both friends and family. This event meant to be fully respectful to the amazing culture of India. Respectful and fun.
In respect for Hindi tradition, we will not serve beef during Grey Lodge Goes Bollywood. Chef Eric will have some tasty alternatives.
