Draft Beer Update/Funky First Friday
Every first Friday is Funky First Friday here at the Grey Lodge with music by the Hop Angels and a special beer or two on tap. In honor of Jim Keaveney's home coming visit, we let him pick what we should tap for Funky First Friday. Jim's picks were Russian River Consecration, which replaced Lost Abbey Witch's Wit, and Scaldis Cuvee des Trolls, which replaced Erdinger Oktoberfest. Both of these new beers are sixtels.

Our 2nd and last barrel of Yards Cape of Good Hope IPA replaced Bear Republic Racer 5. Yards only makes Cape of Good Hope every so often. We managed to score two this time around. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Continuing our run of 6 or 7 Duck Rabbits in a row (I lost count), Duck-Rabbit Schwarzbier replaced Duck Rabbit Amber. This will probably be the last in our Duck Rabbit run. We were hoping to continue the streak with their Marzen, but that is still a few weeks out. So there will be more Duck Rabbits, but not in a row. And only just NOW I realize what we lined up all of our Duck( Rabbit)s up in a row. What a wasted gimmick. Well maybe we'll do that again next year.

On our cider line, Woodchuck Dark and Dry Cider replaced Harpoon Dry Cider.

6:3opm Update: Samuel Adams Dunkelweizen replaced Stoudts Heifer-in Wheat. Dunkelweizen is one of Sam Adams' line of second tier, lower-production seasonals with somewhat limited availability. They asked us if we wanted to particiapte in that program and we said "hell yeah!" (we are trying to use the eff word less). If my plans go as planned I will be drinking a tall one of this later tonight outside at our sidewalk cafe.

9pm Update: Harpoon UFO Pumpkin, the first of the pumpkin beers to be tapped this year kicked. Replacing it is Wild Onion Pumpkin Ale. The Wild Onion cans flew out of here. I expect no less of the draft.
