John the Postman will be happy to know that Dark Horse Tres Blueberry Stout is back. It replaced Dogfish Head Chicory Stout, which was extremely enjoyable this year.
Maybe Chicory Stout, one of Dogfish's original two beers, was extremely enjoyable 13 years ago too, but my memory of it from then is a little hazy (many years, many beers). Due to Dogfish's huge success and not being able brew everything all the time, Chicory Stout went from being a core beer to a seasonal. I do know I wish I had got drink of more of Chicory Stout while it was around this year.
Tres Blueberry is a blueberry stout from Dark Horse, one of the numerous great breweries out of Michigan. I don't know why blueberry and stout go so well together, but they do, so why ask why? This one is a seasonal too, so it enjoy it while you can. A year can be a long time to wait.
