Tomorrow is Friday the 13th...
... which means that it is Friday the Firkinteenth here at the Grey Lodge. This will be our 26th Firkinteenth. Firkins start getting tapped at noon.
The weather looking promising. Very sunny, but hot. So light clothes in light colors.
Draft Beer Update
Kicked:
- Duck Rabbit Hoppy Bunny ABA. This was just a sixtel that plus the fact that this beer was AWESOME meant it kicked quickly. Bear tells me that Stockertown should be gettign more, which means we will be getting more. I love love love this beer.
- 21st Amendment Hell or High Watermelon Wheat flew out of here as well. Mr. Wiggles tells me that Origlio should be getting more in, which means we will be getting more in too. We still have some cans left. In the meantime, look for Roy Pitz Lovitz Lager to be tapped sometime next week. It too is a watermelon beer.
Tapped:
- Manayunk Summer Paradise. This wheat beer is made with fresh blood oranges and locally produced raw honey. Sounds very interesting. I suspect this will be exactly the beer I will want to drink when my workday for Friday the Firkinteenth is over sometime tomorrow night.
- Duck Rabbit Doppelbock. Duck Rabbit specializes in dark beers. Doppelbocks are a dark, malty, higher octane German lagers, which typically are spring seasonals but in reality are available year round these days.
