Draft Beer Update

Yowsa, a lot of things kicked last night.

Kicked: Manayunk Oktoberfest, Dock Street Great Pumpkin, Leinenkugels Big Eddy Baltic Porter (sixtel), Victory Festbier, and Half Acre Daisy Cutter Pale Ale.

Tapped:

Allagash Hugh Malone (sixtel) - this is a hoppy Belgian style ale.

Sixpoint Spice of Life IPA - Riwaka - part of Sixpoint's one-hopped IPA series, Riwaka is a hop I have not heard of before. So jaded beer geeks, just when you thought you saw it all, here's something new. Riwaka is a rare hop from New Zealand. Reports say it has kumquat qualities. I have no idea what kumquat tastes like, so I will have no reference when I try one later tonight. I suppose if I ever eat a kumquat, I will likely say "it has riwaka qualities".

On our what is our pumpkin line for 3 or 4 months, we have Lavery Stingy Jack Pumpkin Ale. Lavery is the other Erie PA brewery.

In time for our Oktoberfest party tomorrow night, Spaten Oktoberfest and Flying Fish Oktoberfish have been tapped. If they kick, do worry, we have backups of each.
