This Week at The Grey Lodge
Tuesday as always is Taco Tuesday, when Chef Dave has two tasty tacos for us. Something different every week. Tacos are available from 5pm to midnight.

Wednesday, it's Quizzo with Quizmaster Pete. As usual, Quizzo is 8pm on our 2nd floor.

Saturday and Sunday, we have brunch from 10am to 3pm. In additional to our regular brunch menu, Big Dan always has a different brunch special every weekend. Our daily menu is also available.

Draft Beer Update
4 off, 4 on. Interesting how that works. Well not really.

Off: Long Trail Pollenator, Neshaminy Creek Coconut Milk Stout, Allagash Grand Cru (sixtel), Cricket Hill Nocturne.

On: Stillwater Stateside Saison, Philadelphia SchwarzingerAllagash Odyssey (sixtel), Philadelphia Kenzinger.

Stillwater's beers are finally available in 1/2 barrels at a reasonable price. Well at least one of them. I don't think we've had a Stillwater on tap since Brian stopped by for a Stillwater event that seems like it was years ago. Turns it was almost exactly 3 years ago, Fri 04 April 2010. Anyway three years later, Stillwater is back at the Grey Lodge because we can charge a reasonable price for a pint of it. After 3 years, I honestly don't remember what it tastes like. But Buddy Hadry is really pumped over it, and he is always spot on with his recommendations.

Schwarzinger, a black lager, is a one-off from Philly Brewing. Schwaz is German for black. The name is a nice play off their flagship Kenzinger and the Terminator's name. Schwarzbier is a very rare style here in the USA (and in Germany). Usually schwarzbiers fail to live up to my expectations. Kostritzer and Konig Ludwig's schwarzbier (which doesn't come over here) are really great examples of the style.  Schwarzinger beer is getting good reviews; I can't wait to try it.

Allagash Odyssey is an oak aged, high octane wheat beer, weighing in at over 10%. Man that sounds interesting.

Kenzinger is one of Philly's flagship beers. It's a great kolsch/dortmunder style beer that is very popular among beer geek and non geek alike. Whenever we tap one, it never lasts long.
