Draft Beer Update
Firestone Walker Pivo Hoppy Pils replaced Lancaster Gold Star Pilsner. Can California compete with the incredible pilsners of Pennsylvania? Try this one to find out.
On our wheat beer line, Evil Genius I Love Lamp replaced Yuengling Summer Wheat. This is a pineapple hefeweizen. This combo has gotten some nice reviews so far.
On our IPA line, Stone Collective Distortion IPA replaced Sly Fox Homefront IPA. Stone and a couple of muscians collaborated on this high octane double IPA. I am sure it will rock your friggin socks off.
Yuengling Porter (quarter) replaced itself. This dark lager, with nice chocolaty notes from the malt, was the beer geek beer back in the day. For us oldheads who remember the bad old days of beer, Y Porter is always worth rediscovering.
Sly Fox Maibock replaced Summit Unchained 15 Fest Bier. Each year, this traditional Spring beer is named in honor of the winner of the Annual Sly Fox Goat Race. It is brewed with German Vienna and Pils Malts and Hallertauer hops. This year Spartacus was determined to have lost to Jixxer in a photo finish. Jixxer, will have a different beer brewed for him, as well as a release party.
Sam Adams Porch Rocker replaced Dogfish Head Red and White. A German style called “radler” that is a blend of beer and lemonade. This is the first time it will be available on draft.
Free Concert Tonight in Tacony
The Tacony Civic Association's free summer concert series starts off for its 2014 season tonight with The Hooligans and Herb Oakely. All shows are free! 7pm at Disston Rec, Disston and Glenloch Streets.
The Grey Lodge is a sponsor and several regulars are volunteers. Come out and join some of us! And maybe grab a beer at the Lodge after.
